Leonard “Lenny” Ohlsson, BROKER/PRINCIPAL
A retired Suffolk County Police Detective, “Lenny” Ohlsson brings impressive administrative and aviation credentials to Spruce Creek. Years of administrative experience with a large, complex municipal organization coupled with a comprehensive resume of aviation qualifications, provide a background uniquely qualified to direct real estate sales operations in a large, aviation oriented, fly-in community.
Lenny received the FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award 11/21 for over 50 years of Safe Flying.
“Lenny” a pilot since 1969 holds ATP, MEL, SEL, SES, Glider, Helicopter, CFI and CFII certificate and ratings. An aircraft owner as well, Lenny owns presently a 1941 Waco UPF-7 and 1940 J-3 Cub. Not content to spend his flying time around home base, in 1997 flew with three Motor Gliders from Port Alegre Brazil to Spruce Creek, in 2007 Lenny formed part of a group that retraced the historic Lewis and Clark expedition. In 2011, Lenny flew his antique Waco to Labrador to “see how the other half lives,” as well as Bettles, Alaska above the Arctic Circle and other lengthy flights.
A Notary, Lenny has performed numerous marriages for Spruce Creek residents and friends, again demonstrating the Spruce Creek Fly-In Realty commitment to community service. A member for over 32 years of the Spruce Creek Country Club.. Volunteer on the Security Community.
A member of the Halifax River Yacht Club for over 27 years.
Lenny shares his love of flying and introducing others by numerous charity WACO or Cub rides to various community functions in and around the Spruce Creek Area.
Pat and Lenny are active pilot volunteers with the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Chapters 288 and 635 Young Eagles Program.
