Aviation Activities
Here is a list of aviation oriented groups and activities that exist within Spruce Creek that offer education, camaraderie and fun:
- EAA Chapter 288 meets on the 3rd Thursday evening at 7PM in Keith Phillips’ hangar.
- EAA IFR and VFR Clubs meet on alternate first Thursdays at 7PM at the POA office open to all pilots. Barry Dainas and Craig Cousins organizers.
- The Spruce Creek Flying Club has dinner and presentations at 5:30PM at the SC Country Club on the third Wednesday each month excl Jun, Jul & Aug. Pat Ohlsson organizer.
- The SC Airport Authority Committee meets monthly usually on the first Wednesday at 4PM at the POA office but schedule can change.
- Gaggle flyers breakfast fly-out Saturday mornings 8AM briefing at the Tree.
- Beechcraft and all others fly-out for breakfast Wednesday morning and Saturdays.
- Miscellaneous fly-out for lunch at Flagler on Thursdays.
- Women of Wings. Debbie Mars local contact.
- Wingnut’s social group of women pilots from other residential airparks fly out for breakfast or lunch on Wednesday and Creeker’s join them.
- Grasshoppers aviation social group. Pat Ohlsson local contact.
